Project Coordinator | Mexico City
Rodrigo Gálvez is a project coordinator with multiple achievements throughout his experience at Bovis. He has grown professionally and remained dedicated to the assigned projects. With his boundless ambition and expertise in operational properties, he effectively fulfills his role by aligning objectives within reach, while maintaining a record of zero incidents and fatalities in the projects he has been directly and indirectly involved in.
As cities grow, the space for new construction diminishes. In my opinion, the restoration and adaptation of buildings will become more accepted every day.

¿How did you get into what you do?
The process began as an intern in 2018. A university colleague told me Bovis were looking for more interns; he was already in. I sent my CV, and within weeks I received a response to assist to an interview. I spent time as an intern supporting the “Torre Mayor Lobby” construction project,
Where I never felt overwhelmed balancing work and studies. Later, I was in Preconstruction for the CETRAM OBSERVATORIO and D1120 projects. After completing my studies, I was hired as an Assistant Manager. I gradually took over more responsibilities, and my managers were crucial in teaching me processes, formats, and Bovis´ values. My path at Bovis continued through various Preconstruction projects. I returned to on-site supervision for the refurbishment of Nacional Monte de Piedad’s main building. This experience in coordinating construction efforts for a property over 500 years old in the heart of the historic district was vital. Safety and quality service were fundamental. After that, I transitioned to closing the legacy of many Bovis colleagues who spent nights working on Torre Chapultepec 01. I joined as a Project Coordinator, supporting both construction and administrative processes. Currently, I’m closing out the R509 project and involved in Bovis’ first real estate development, “SÉNECA 344,” where I’ve been part of the entire journey from Preconstruction to the current construction phase.
¿What do you enjoy most about your role at Bovis?
As a project coordinator, particularly focused on operational properties, I most enjoy interacting with people to find solutions. Interacting with management, clients, security teams, contractors, workers, users, and more, provides continuous feedback and diverse perspectives that guide my activities to achieve the best results.
¿What’s your greatest professional achievement at Bovis?
In Bovis, one of the most critical values is job safety. Therefore, my greatest professional achievement is maintaining zero incidents and fatalities. In the projects I’ve been involved in, either directly or indirectly, I’m proud to say that I’ve never had an accident within the teams I’ve been part of.
¿What advice would you give to someone looking to develop in your field?
Always listen to opinions and advice from various areas within Bovis and the broader team. This will contribute to your understanding and decision-making.
¿What do you believe will be the major trend in your field in the next five years?
The rehabilitation of “old” urban areas. As cities grow, the space for new construction diminishes. In my opinion, restoration and adaptation of buildings will become more accepted. Similarly, the renovation of buildings currently in operation or occupancy will increase. Working on new constructions versus occupied buildings presents different needs, making coordination extremely important in such projects.
¿What are you passionate about outside of work?
I enjoy cycling, photography, and table football (foosball). I placed fourth last year!
